Baby Massage Classes in South London

Little hands, tiny toes, precious moments together.

A gentle space to slow down, connect and nurture your baby through the loving power of touch.

Baby massage is a beautiful way to spend meaningful time with your little one. Through gentle, nurturing touch, you can learn to understand your baby's cues, support their development and build confidence in responding to their needs.

Whether you're a first-time parent or welcoming another little one into your family, my baby massage sessions offer a calm, welcoming space where you and your baby can simply enjoy being together.

The Benefits of Baby Massage

Touch is one of the very first ways we communicate with our babies. Long before they understand words, they recognise the comfort, warmth and reassurance of loving hands.

Baby massage can offer many wonderful benefits for both babies and their parents.

  • Bonding and connection: Enjoy uninterrupted moments of closeness while learning to recognise and respond to your baby's unique cues.

  • Relaxation and comfort: Gentle massage may help your baby feel calm, settled and secure.

  • Supporting digestion: Certain massage techniques may help ease trapped wind and digestive discomfort.

  • Encouraging restful sleep: Massage can become part of a soothing bedtime routine, helping your baby recognise familiar moments of relaxation.

  • Building parental confidence: Learn to understand your baby's communication and feel more confident in responding to their needs.

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing: Enjoy a little time away from the busyness of everyday life, giving yourself permission to slow down and be present with your baby.

Every baby is different, and there is no expectation for your baby to respond in a particular way. The beauty of baby massage is in the shared experience, rather than achieving a particular outcome.

What to Expect From My Baby Massage Sessions

My classes are relaxed, baby-led and welcoming. There is no pressure for your baby to be quiet, still or content throughout the session.

Babies cry, feed, need cuddles and sometimes fall asleep — and all of that is absolutely welcome.

As a qualified International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) Instructor, I will gently guide you through a series of massage strokes, helping you learn techniques that you can confidently use at home.

Throughout our time together, we will explore:

  • Gentle massage techniques for your baby's legs, feet, tummy, chest, arms, hands, face and back.

  • How to recognise your baby's cues and ask permission before beginning massage.

  • Ways to adapt massage to your baby's individual needs.

  • Gentle techniques that may help with wind, colic-related discomfort and relaxation.

  • The importance of nurturing touch, bonding and communication.

You are always the person massaging your own baby. I demonstrate the techniques using a teaching doll, allowing you and your baby to enjoy the experience together.

Baby Massage in the Comfort of Your Own Home

5-week private baby massage course — £80

If you would prefer to learn in the comfort and familiarity of your own home, I offer private five-week baby massage courses for you and your little one.

These gentle, personalised sessions allow us to move at your baby's pace, with plenty of time for questions, feeding, cuddles and breaks whenever needed.

Over five weeks, you will gradually learn a full-body massage routine, building your confidence and developing a beautiful practice that you can continue long after our sessions have finished.

Private sessions are particularly lovely for parents who would prefer a quieter environment or who simply enjoy the comfort of learning at home.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can my baby start baby massage?

Baby massage can be introduced from birth through gentle, nurturing touch. For a structured massage course, I generally recommend waiting until your baby is around six weeks old, depending on their individual needs.

What happens if my baby cries during the session?

Please don't worry! Babies communicate through crying, and you are always encouraged to respond to your baby's needs. You can feed, cuddle, change or comfort your baby at any time. There is never any pressure to continue massaging.

Do I need to bring anything?

For private home sessions, you will just need a comfortable, warm space where you and your baby can relax. I will guide you through anything else you may need.

Can I attend if my baby has additional needs?

Absolutely. Every baby deserves nurturing, responsive touch. Please get in touch so we can discuss your baby's individual needs and any adaptations that may be helpful.

Will baby massage help my baby sleep?

Massage may help some babies relax and settle, particularly when incorporated into a familiar routine. However, every baby is different, and massage is not a guaranteed solution to sleep difficulties.

Let's Make Time for Those Little Moments

The early months with your baby can pass so quickly. Between feeds, changing nappies and the demands of everyday life, it can sometimes feel difficult to find a quiet moment together.

Baby massage offers an opportunity to slow down, follow your baby's lead and enjoy the simple joy of being close.

Little hands, tiny toes, a lifetime of love begins with the gentlest touch.
